Welcome to East Iris Studios

East Iris Studios is a two-room facility located minutes from downtown Nashville in the quiet, park-like setting of Berry Hill. At East Iris you will find a beautifully designed complex, the best in both vintage and new equipment and a friendly staff dedicated to making your stay as comfortable and productive as possible. Our location offers privacy as well as convenience, and our creature comforts include audio and video-equipped lounge areas, a full kitchen, a pool table and a private courtyard.

Owned by Tennessee native Gary Belz, East Iris is a member of the Kiva family of recording studios, an award-winning group with locations in Nashville, Memphis and Los Angeles, where hit albums from such artists as Faith Hill, Collective Soul, the Wallflowers, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Puff Daddy, Janet Jackson, Matchbox 20, Tela, Goo Goo Dolls and Keb Mo, among many others, have been recorded. His studios include House of Blues Studios of Memphis and Encino as well as Ocean Way Nashville which he sold to Belmont University.

At East Iris, the TEC-award nominated Studio A features a Tom Hidley-designed 20 Hz control room with a Solid State Logic 80 input 9000 J-series console. Our Studio B features a design by Micheal Cronin, a 40 input Solid State Logic 4000 E-series console, and a 16 Channel API Sidecar.
